Parasite Infections

Parasite Infections
Parasite Infections
Parasites that can affect humans include:
    Protozoa, helminths, ectoparasites
    E. vermicularis, or pinworm.
Trypanosoma cruzi, the cause of Chagas disease.
Echinococcosis, another tapeworm, passed through dogs and sheep.
    Cysticercosis, or tapeworm.
    Toxocariasis, or roundworm.
    Trichomoniasis, a sexually transmitted infection.
    Amebiasis,Taenia solium, etc.

Many diseases can be brought on by these parasites, which can dwell on or in the human body. Although insects and other animals can also carry parasites, eating contaminated food or drinking contaminated water is the main cause of these parasites. The majority of parasite illnesses enter the body through the mouth, either through infected hands touching your face or through food or drink that has been ingested. The parasites can live on or in the human body and cause various diseases.

Consuming pork, particularly if it is raw or undercooked, is one possible parasite-causing factor. Due to the unsanitary conditions that pigs and hogs are often grown in, pork can carry parasites and worms, so if you routinely consume this type of meat in your diet, there is a possibility that you may already be carrying one.

Beef, shrimp, and crab are just a few examples of the other types of undercooked meat and seafood that can spread dangerous pathogens.

Poorly groomed food handlers can become infected with several enteropathogens while working in the foodservice industry, which can lead to fecal contamination of foods by their hands during food preparation and transmitted to the general population.

An immune system overreaction brought on by parasite infections may result in symptoms ranging from a runny nose to the potentially lethal anaphylactic shock.

 Tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
Tinnitus is a ringing, buzzing, whistling, or hissing sound in one or both ears when no outside noise is heard. The root cause of tinnitus is  brain cell inflammation. A new study has found a link between tinnitus and encephalitis (brain inflammation). Previous research suggests that the parts of the brain responsible for processing sound may cause tinnitus in some cases. Infections and other diseases of the brain and spinal cord can activate the immune system and cause inflammation. Treating inflammation is key to controlling some tinnitus. Krill oil contains omega-3s, which makes it an excellent anti-inflammatory. This means it can reduce inflammation and, in some cases, tinnitus symptoms.

Tinnitus has multiple causes and is a poorly understood problem, treatment in general is not always satisfactory. It can be caused by an underlying condition, such as high blood pressure, repeated exposure to loud noises, an earwax build-up, high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, age-related hearing loss, neurological disease, cardiovascular disease, lack of sleep, brain inflammation, an ear injury or a problem with the circulatory system. You may already know that tinnitus is not a disease per se, but a symptom of something happening in your broader hearing system or body.

The ear canal can become clogged with fluid buildup (ear infections), wax, dirt, or other foreign objects. A blockage can change the pressure in the ear and cause tinnitus.

Tinnitus can also be associated with inflammatory processes in the body. Studies have shown that turmeric extract has anti-inflammatory properties against ear diseases. Additionally, turmeric treatment has been shown to be as effective as antibiotics for middle ear infections that often cause tinnitus.

Tinnitus is not the only symptom associated with age-related decline in vitamin B12 levels. Several studies have found that vitamin B12 levels decline with age, with up to 40% of people over the age of 65 being vitamin B12 deficient. Deficiency may be due to reduced food intake. However, a more likely explanation is that with age, the secretion of a compound called intrinsic factor that facilitates the absorption of B12 decreases. Decreased vitamin B12 levels can have serious consequences at any age, but can lead to significant impairment of neurological function and mental performance in older adults. If tinnitus in many older people is related to low vitamin B12 levels, that may be just the tip of the iceberg.

Tinnitus is caused by many underlying health problems and can be exacerbated by eating foods that negatively impact your overall health. Certain foods such as potatoes, tomatoes, chili peppers, chili powder, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, mushrooms, radishes, spinach,  zucchini, green peppers, turmeric, spices, eggplants, dried fruits, and tobacco may make tinnitus worse. Avoid Aspartame, Monosodium Glutamate, Salicylates, Alcoholic Beverages, Coffee & Sugar.

Certain fruits and beans, especially those high in potassium, have been shown to be especially helpful in the treatment of tinnitus. Examples include bananas, pears, pineapples, papayas, kiwi, oranges, prunes, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins,  mangoes, soybeans, kidney beans, brown rice, and long bean .

Recommended Supplements: Antarctic Krill Oil, Curcumin,  Spirulina,  garlic, boswellia, Ginkgo biloba, vitamin B12, vitamin B3, taurine, spirulina and Apple Cider Vinegar may help reduce tinnitus.

Zinc supplementation (20-30 mg per day) can relieve or eliminate tinnitus in zinc-deficient patients, a common tinnitus problem.
