What is Rabies? Rabies is a viral disease which affects the brain and spinal cord of animals including humans. Humans get rabies when bitten by infected animals. Any domestic mammal can be infected by rabies viruses such as cattle, dog, cat, and wild mammals such as bats and foxes, etc. See a healthcare provider immediately if you are bitten by an infected animal. Snake Bites

Home Remedies Venom from a poisonous snake can coagulate your blood into a jelly! Venom can kill a victim as quickly as 10 minutes, though sometimes it takes a few hours, depending on how much is injected; the average time until death after a bite is around 30-60 minutes. Venomous snake bite should be treated as a medical emergency. Call for emergency medical help as soon as possible. While waiting for the medical officials to come, you can apply or tie a piece of cloth around the bitten area so that the arteries directing towards the heart are blocked. Some symptoms of a venomous snake bite include nausea, anxiety, vomiting, numbness, blurred vision, rapid heart rate, dizziness, fever, light-headedness, shock, and paralysis. If you stay far away from Hospital, additional things you may do before medical treatments. Please choose one or more of the first-aid tips below to treat snakebite. Allow a few seconds for bleeding before you wash the wound with clean water. Then apply the herbal paste on the wound with a bandage. Drink the juice of the herbs as suggested. First Aid for Snake Bites. Wash the wound with clean water. Use a venom extacter to suck out the venom. #1. Mix 1 teaspoon Honey with a glass of water, drink it with Liposomal vitamin C, Garlic extract, Curcumin, Olive leaf extract, Quercetin, Echinacea, Oil of Oregano, Dandelion & Milk Thistle. You can also apply oil of oregano or echinacea tincture every hour onto the wound. This action helps in pulling toxins and removing disinfectant on the wound. You need to take a dosage of 500 mg oil of oregano, four times per day as it may reduce the amount platelets clump together when bitten by a snake. Pound a pad of Prickly pear (cactus) and apply onto the wound with a bandage. #4. Eat some raw onion, smashed raw garlic, or drink some ginger juice. #5. Drink a glass of juice of tender banana stem can reduce the poison of the snake. #6. Curry Leaves Besides being used as a cooking spice, curry leaves can also be used as the first-aid remedy for snake bites. The trick is to pound the curry leaves and then apply on the wound. After treatment, take several curry leaves and boil with rice as porridge. It can help to reduce some of the snake venoms in the body. #7. The leaves of comfrey, slippery elm, or white oak bark leaves and bark can be made into poultices and apply onto the wound. #8. Take a handful of Sabah Snake Grass, pound it in a mortar and apply onto the wound with a bandage. #9. Gotu Kola:- Use a handful of this plant, pound it and apply onto the snake bite wound. Take a bundle of this plant and grind out the juice. Drink it. #10. Plantain & Dandelion root:- Pound these two plants in equal parts and apply onto the wound with a bandage. #11. Chew & swallow 5 to 7 leaves of  Green Chiretta  (Herba Andrographitis  Paniculata)   (Chuan Xin Lian) 苦心蓮 . Pound 20 leaves in a mortar and apply onto the affected areas with a bandage. #12. Take several fresh Mulberry leaves, pound or grind out the juice. Drink it. #13. Drink a glass of Noni juice can reduce the snake venom in the body. #14. Take some fresh papaya roots, pound the roots in a mortar, add a little salt, apply and bandage with a clean cloth on the wound. #15. Elephantopus Scaber Linn - Elephantopus Scaber L (Di Dan Tou):- Take 2 roots, wash clean and pound the herb in a mortar. Add a ½ glass of drinking water. Strain out the juice and give it to the victim to drink. Add a pinch of salt to the root paste and apply it onto the wound with a bandage. Change the paste every hour. #16.Turmeric: - Mix 1 spoon turmeric powder with a little coconut oil into a paste. Apply to the affected areas. If you have fresh turmeric, pound it and apply onto the wound with a bandage. Mix 1 teaspoon turmeric powder in a glass of water for the victim to drink two to three times a day. #17. Smash or pound some ginger, garlic, red onion and add a little salt.  Apply the paste onto the wound with a bandage. #18. Chew two tablets Vitamin C (500 mg each) every 15 minutes.         Recommended product - Atomy Vitamin C ( Take a sachet every hour) #19. Pai Hua She She Cao (Oldenlandia) also known as spreading Hedyotis:- Take a handful of about 50 to 100 grams, add two cups of water, boil and simmer for about 15 minutes. When cool, drink a cup of tea. Pound some of the plants and apply the paste onto the affected parts with a bandage. #20. Zi Hua Di Ding (Herba Violae) 紫花地丁:- Use a handful of the fresh plant, pound and drink the juice. For topical application, mix the juice with a little Realgar (雄黄 雄黃) #21. Apply Black seed oil onto the affected parts. Mix 1 teaspoon of the black seed oil with 1 tablespoon honey in a glass of water. Take two to three times a day. Black seed oil is also available in capsules. Take two capsules (500 mg each) two to three times a day with the honey and water. #22. Moringa Oleifera (Drumstick Tree):- Pound the root of this tree, apply the paste onto the wound with a bandage. You can also use the stem and leaves of this tree. #23. Fucoidan - Toxins from snake bites are efficiently inhibited by fucoidan. #24. A combination of different plants such as Plantain, Dandelion root, Echinacea and Saw palmetto to treat snake bites.  Take about equal parts and pound them. Apply the paste onto the wound with a bandage. #25. Strobilanthes Crispus, Chinese Name: Blackface general, (黑面將軍 Hei Mian Jiang Jun). Pound the leaves, apply the paste onto the wound with a bandage. Boil several leaves with water, drink it as a tea. #26. Milk Thistle was promoted as an antidote to snake bites. #27. Apply aloe vera gel on the wound. #28. Use Mimosa pudica to treat snake bites. Pound several fresh cayenne peppers and apply onto the wound with a bandage. #32. Monstera deliciosa (爬 树龍) - Pound the leaves of this plant and apply the paste on the affected area with a bandage. Snakeweed Plant (Euphorbia hirta Linn): – Pound the roots of snakeweed, apply it onto the wound with a bandage. #35.
